PR Solutions has carried out a media relations project for SpotaWheel, an online-only car dealer. The main goals of the project included communicating the company’s launch in Poland, showing how its marketplace works as well as what benefits are associated with buying a used car through it.

SpotaWheel has been on the market since 2016 and it has already completely overturned the car dealers’ market in Greece where it quickly gained a leading position with only a small network of brick-and-mortar outlets. In SpotaWheel’s innovative operating model the majority of sales activities take place online and directly at the customer’s place.

SpotaWheel offers carefully selected and inspected used vehicles with a five-year mechanical warranty included in the price. Sellers can request a valuation. The company carries out a mechanical inspection and mileage verification before offering to buy the vehicle. Once bought, the vehicle is listed on the SpotaWheel.pl marketplace where customers can view it as well as order a test drive anywhere in Poland.

SpotaWheel is able to fund its expansion in Poland thanks to the recent €5 million investment from VentureFriends, Velocity Partners, and other private investors. The start-up has raised a total of €8 million ($8.9 million U.S.) in equity and debt until now.

To date, SpotaWheel has serviced over 70,000 customers. The company employs 105 staff in the UK, Greece and Poland, offering a fleet of 500 thoroughly tested vehicles.
